Do you accept insurance?

What does the new patient process look like? How do I become a patient?

To become a patient at WellSpring all you need to do is call 843-536-1180. Leslie Guzman is our new patient coordinator and she will get you set up to see one of our providers. The first session is called an Intake Session and your provider will get to know a little about your background and why you are coming to see them. That appointment usually takes about an hour. From there you will meet with your provider on a regular basis at a day and time that you both agree on.

Do I need a referral to make an appointment?

No, you do not need a referral to make an appointment.

How long are the appointments?

Most of our appointments last one hour though sessions can be shorter if needed.

What happens if I don’t think the provider and I are a good match?

Finding a good fit between you and your provider is very important. If you feel like another provider may be a better fit for you talk to your therapist about it! This is in no way insulting to our providers. We want you to get the best treatment possible. Your current provider will talk to you about what is not working for you and help us decide which provider to switch you to based on your needs. Our administrative staff will handle getting you moved to a new provider once that decision is made.

How much do appointments cost?

This depends on your copay and deductible which can vary significantly between insurances. For questions about your specific insurance and costs to be seen at WellSpring call us at 843-536-1180.

What is your cancelation policy?

Attending sessions is very important to your treatment. However, we understand that life happens sometimes and appointments need to be canceled. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel an appointment more than 24 hours before your appointment just call and speak to one of our staff members and they will help you reschedule your appointment. If it is within 24 hours you may be charged for the appointment. However, we do allow for emergencies and other unavoidable circumstances. You will need to talk to your provider about this as they are responsible for determining if you will be charged.

Is my personal information secure?

Yes! WellSpring is committed to protecting your information. We use HIPAA compliant phone, telehealth, and electronic medical records.

How do I make a payment?

To make a one time payment call 843-536-1180. Our staff will work with you on payment options and can set up a payment plan over the phone if needed.

How are you approaching the covid-19 situation?

WellSpring has been quick to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic. We were one of the first practices to move to virtual appointments and continue to offer many of our services via telehealth. For those who need to come into the office we are limiting contact by having patients check in but then wait in their vehicles for their provider to get them. Everyone is required to sanitize their hands and wear a mask at all times while in the building. Each office is sanitized between appointments. If you have any questions or concerns about this please don’t hesitate to ask!
